IS FAITH “NEW”?

I have “run into” numerous individuals, over the years, who inform me of my “blind faith”.

One of the most interesting experiences in my, almost eighty eight years, was when I comprehended the message from the Scriptures that God only accepts a person into “sonship” when that individual steps into a personal belief that must be established through faith.

The Apostle Paul, in writing to the Church in Galatia, brings the message of “faith” to them.  From Genesis to Revelation that message remained, and remains in effect to the present.

Recently I read that the majority of people now believe in “atheism”.  In effect, that rules out FAITH.   We have allowed the teaching of evolution for years and then we wonder why they have now concluded such a disastrous position which ultimately rules out God.

My friends, as they draw away from the teachings of God and Holy Writ, they become individuals without an anchor and their ‘bearings’ unacceptable.

The highest point of the Book of Hebrews explains the comfort we have in FAITH in God, in Christ and in the Sacred Scriptures.   “Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne God.  For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” (12:1-3)

One who studies these verses concerning faith has every reason to rest their confidence in the present, as well as the future, the fulfilled program of God from Genesis to Revelation.

Remember, we have a multiplied number of “witnesses”, along with hundreds of prophecies fulfilled throughout Scripture that ultimately solidifies our FAITH in Jesus Christ as Messiah and Savior.

This is not a “blind” faith!  While some may wonder & even fear their ultimate, I REST!
