Yesterday, I received a letter from Bermuda that was mailed on May 6th, just two and a half months later. Of course, this is, like everything else, linked to Covid 19.
I could have flown there in less than 24 hours. Had I actually been a patient of Covid 19, I probably would have been in and out of the hospital in less time! Of course, there could have been other results.

Years ago, 1955 to be exact, when Patsy and I were showing our affection for each other, she was upstate New York and I was in Bermuda for the summer. She would write me a letter early in the afternoon and would pick it up in the Hamilton, Bermuda Post Office the next afternoon by 2.00 p.m. Then, the Postal Department decided to change its method of mail to a more modern method of delivery; ZIP Codes were introduced! Remember?
A letter came to me recently that was not mine, and so I wrote on it: “Not at this address.” A few days later it showed up in my mail box again. I asked my post-person why? I was informed that I had not blotted out the address, in particular the Zip Code. If I did not do that, it would continue to make it to the same address as previously, mine! That is how the automatic machines work.
It was time to put my thinking cap on. If I had not scratched out my Zip Code and notified them, I would be lost in the Postal System. I did not have to do that with the Lord, He has been with me through all of my moves… every moment of every day.
Here is what the Psalmist had to say: “Nevertheless I am continually with You; You have taken hold of my right hand. With Your counsel You will guide me, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but You? And besides You, I desire nothing on earth, my flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. For behold, those who are far from You will perish; You have destroyed all those who are unfaithful to You. BUT AS FOR ME, THE NEARNESS OF GOD IS MY GOOD; I HAVE MADE THE LORD GOD MY REFUGE, THAT I MAY TELL OF ALL YOUR WORKS. (Psalm 73:23-28)
