There has to be something meaningful in this Corona-virus contagion!  That was my thinking in the middle of the night.  Gradually, it began to unfold one step at a time.

With all of the churches having to close their doors to the general public, no matter their size, popularity, or extensive outreach, they became the victims of a virus generated under questionable circumstances.  One of the early reports noted that it will affect the contributions in a most devastating fashion and that pastors will take a major “hit”.  In the event that they are serving the Lord and not tied to a business operation under a religious flag, God has made a promise that exceeds anything that our Government can envision.  “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)

Back to my midnight reflections!  A study of the Book of Acts confirms that those twelve disciples knew what it was to proclaim Christ.  They also knew what it was to have experiences with small groups of people, as well as multiplied thousands.  Their “orders from headquarters” was clear cut: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel.”

A most interesting aspect of their ministry had been to travel with Jesus into that immediate area of the world and then to recall what they had heard and put it into action.  One of the things that is recorded that they heard was this: “For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.
(Matthew 18:20)  The corona-virus has forced, especially families, to be confined to their homes.  Naturally, it has become a method that God would have us reflect upon.  Hopefully I can achieve that from my midnight and later reflections.

It is being reported nation-wide, and in other nations, that more “family feuds” have forced law-enforcement to spend far more time trying to get “peace” restored in homes than previously.  Most of the problems have involved money.

Instead of all this fighting and bickering, think about the opportunity that we have to follow the advice of the Savior.  Gather the family together and spend some time in a “two or three” situation.  Read the Scripture and reflect upon what God is saying in His Word, the Holy Bible!   Start with Psalm 23, follow it with John 1 and then chapter by chapter daily.  Discuss it to the best of your ability and then pray together…each one individually!

Make corona-virus profitable for you and your family!  Never forget: “For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.”
